My first night down here was Saturday the 17th. Aunt Jenny & Mom moved me down here and I was dreading the moment for them to leave. I walked into my tiny slummy prison cell of a room and teared up and said I do not want to do this anymore so Mom said alright the option is yours...we can pack up and head home or we can pray and you can do this which I elected for the second option. This is more than a summer living at the beach to me. It's a growing and life changing experience personally for me. I absolutely believe God has perfect timing and has a plan for my life! Ok, enough emotions.
So far, I have worked twice and loved it. I pretty much have to be a walking bartender (Which is obviously expected) but for anyone who knows me, I do not know the first thing about drinks and what goes with what! So, I gotta study up on that. I also joined a beach softball league and our first game is June 2nd! I can't wait for that :-) I also went to Delaware and filled out an application for volunteering under the activities director. The director came out to meet me and said she'd call to set up a date for an interview so fingers crossed for that! I am planning to go to the Presbyterian church Sunday as they are supposed to be one of the most upbeat, contemporary churches down here. So, yeah, joined a softball league, volunteering, church, and work... that's my summer!
I've met a bunch of people and everyone is really friendly so that helps me not be so homesick! However, everyone is a local here and I think they secretly think I act like a tourist... I mean, I don't know for sure..but they look at me like I'm nuts when I say lets go walk on the beach over a party.... guess I'm not the typically 21 year old... I'm still figuring it out. :-) I am going to make a summer bucket list and make the girls here do it with me one way or another! Gotta give to get I suppose. This is such college!
I feel like I've already been living here a month and not just a week as so much has happened. I am trying to set up mailing, banking, laundry, and pay bills which has been the not so fun parts of t his past week. I am also laying on the beach for roughly 2 hours every day and running at least once a day. I am so barbaric down here and eat food right out of the can. When I do move home, I will never take my personal bathroom or kitchen for granted again. I miss baking & my kitchenaide!
Okay, well I am off to go for a run and work on this bucket list so I can start scratching things off! :-)

I just died laughing…."I'm so barbaric."
