Beach bum!

SOO much has happened since May 23rd! I got to go home for 6 days and that was an absolute blast. I also had a spur of the moment interview at TGI Fridays for a management position. I figured I should start applying to big girl jobs since Mom & I calculated the wonderful debt that begins on November 10th. This one just happened sooner than planned, but God has a plan and timing  for everything! I then came back to the beach and have obviously worked. Some fun things that happened? Hm, the air show was pretty neat! Jets & planes barely missing each other and flying so low and making awesome designs in the sky. My runs have been a nice way to burn energy I've gotten sleeping till eleven every day. Laying on the beach getting really dark & swimming in the local hotel pool too. Uhmmm, church! How could I forget!? My church down here is so beautiful & beachy. It's washed out wood painted buttercream and a sage green washed out ceiling with awnings and palm trees, drift wood, and stained glass everywhere. I met 40 outreach Christian college kids who are absolutely amazing. They provide lunch and an area for all of us to hang out & do things like knock out ping pong. I'm going out for pizza with them on Sunday. Those girls are probably some of the most Godly women I have ever met, but very down to earth & fun! I got to go fishing tonight.. which is what I wanted to do more than anything down here! I caught 3 blue fish that I actually reeled and managed to keep on the line. 2 blue fish & a 3 foot gar got off as I was reeling them up the side of the bridge. soo fun.. ran the whole way home with a pep in my step, proud as a peacock ;-) I made sure I ventured out onto the pier to watch the fishermen and did some window shopping on the boardwalk. I also got road trip it to Turnersville, NJ and got to go through MD, DE, NJ, & PA which was fun :-) I got lost in downtown Philly and ended up in a Naval yard and a Tastycake factory... a fun place to end up lost in. I had my second interview there & was officially offered the position today. It'll be sad to leave the beach but I am determined to cross everything off my beach bucket list before I head home. I am still going to have to get to the island, the outlets, the fractured prune, and mini golf before I go! Treese & Linds are moving me home after their visit is over. Then I'll be home for a week and am going to have a mini bucket list at home including the lake, a trip to Belleville, and catching up with my best friends & family before heading north or east for training! TGI will put me up in a hotel :-) I can't wait to be back home, in my own bed. This mini traveling I've been doing is very fun. I think it's taught me it's fun to be spontaneous and adventurous, but people mean more to me than adventures. <3 Amazing how life can stay stuck in a rut for so many years and then it all changes so abruptly!
